Sadlick Arts

Martha Sadlick grew up on a rural farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, where she roamed nature and discovered her love for rocks. From a young age, she began collecting boxes of them which she hid under her bed. She initially followed this passion to adapting a career in geology, working as a geophysicist for several oil & gas companies. But she has always maintained an interest in art and had a creative brain. She completed a Fine Arts degree in Ceramics & Glass with honors from Buckingham University, where she achieved critical acclaim for her final exhibit that awarded her a first class rating. Starting a new adventure from the world of geology, she has combined her interests in creating pottery & jewelry using her background and curious nature to experiment with different clays, colors, and gemstones. She also teaches pottery classes at Potters Place in Stafford, TX. She lives in Houston, Texas with her two dogs & two cats and prays for the day her daughter might give her a grandchild. Until then, the dogs and cats will have to do.

She created Sadlick Arts to promote her love of pottery under the label mARTha & jewelry under the label Sox. The art is all handcrafted by Martha and unique, with no two pieces being exactly the same. Sadlick Arts is a local business that prides itself on supporting the artistic community. Artwork is regularly donated to support various charitable causes.
